Introduction

HIGH-PRIVACY METAL PARTITION SCREEN MADE OF METART-WW02 STAINLESS STEEL DECORATIVE WOVEN WIRE FABRIC

Introducing the privacy partition metal mesh screen, featuring our decorative privacy wire mesh pattern METART-WW02, which boasts a remarkable 94% privacy rating. This is not a traditional woven wire mesh; it consists of 7mm wide stainless steel flat strips tightly arranged with approximately 2.5mm square holes between them. This unique structure gives the metal screen a flat and smooth surface, distinguishing it from most other wire mesh infills. The flat stainless strips are pre-crimped into an architectural shape, ensuring the flatness of the metal fabric. Additionally, these strips' nominal 1mm thickness and an overall fabric thickness of 1.94mm offer excellent tensile strength and high rigidity to suit most building and decoration requirements.

If you are in the market for an architectural metal mesh partition privacy screen, here are a few tips to consider before making your purchase.

Find the proper infill wire mesh pattern to suit your aesthetics and privacy requirements.

When choosing a privacy partition screen infill material, the most important factor is to determine the level of privacy required for your projects. Once this is established, you can either select from our extensive range of decorative wire mesh selections or provide us with your own mesh design for a custom pattern. If you do not have a specific drawing or specification for your design, feel free to consult with one of our senior sales engineers for inspiration or discuss with us to tweak our existing designs by adjusting the wire gauges and apertures size to meet your project requirements.

For instance, our showcasing A4-sized sample is the antique bronze-finished METART-WW02 metal fabric with a grooved stainless steel frame, which only has an opening area of 6%. This implies that by using this privacy decorative framed screen, you can create a highly private space that is virtually impenetrable. Remember that the lower the opening rate of the wire mesh, the higher the privacy you will achieve.

While woven wire mesh is a popular choice for architectural partition screen infill material, it is not the only option available. Another viable option is a perforated sheet, which can come in both standard hole arrangements or decorative perforated sheets. With its unique patterns and design possibilities, perforated sheets can offer a distinctive look that can complement any space. And decorative laser cut screens could be an even better option compared with perforated sheets to create more ornamental and complicated details. However, it is important to note that when choosing an infill material, privacy functionality should be the top priority.

►Choose the Right Material for Your Privacy Screens

At our factory, we specialize in mainly stainless steel fabrication for privacy screens. While plain steel is unsuitable for interior design and decoration, we offer framed partition screens made of stainless steel, with customers specifying their preferred grade. If you're unsure about which grade of stainless steel to select, there are a few key questions to consider.

Interior vs. Exterior Projects - SS304 Grade (SUS304, AIS304)

First, it's crucial to determine where your privacy metal screens will be installed, whether for interior decoration or outdoor architectural purposes. For most interior jobs, SS304 stainless steel is sufficient to meet the standards. However, for exterior architectural projects, we strongly recommend SS316, thanks to its superior weather resistance properties. With higher nickel and chromium content, as well as the addition of molybdenum, SS316 can combat harsh environmental conditions and prevent corrosion.

Coastal Projects - AISI316 Grade

If your project is located in a coastal city, we strongly recommend marine-grade 316 wire mesh screens for maximum protection against the elements. However, if you're far from the ocean, stainless steel 304 with an extra finish is a more budget-friendly option.

Low-Budget Projects - SS201 Grade

If your project has a tight budget, an SS201 grade could be the best option. However, an extra surface treatment is necessary to protect the material. With our team's expertise, we can help you select the right grade of stainless steel for your privacy screens, ensuring long-lasting protection and aesthetic appeal.

Luxury Projects: Using Brass for Architectural Privacy Wire Mesh Partition Screens

When it comes to luxury projects, clients often look for unique and high-end materials to elevate the aesthetic of their spaces. While stainless steel is a popular choice for architectural privacy wire mesh partition screens, authentic brass and copper can also be used to create a more luxurious feel. However, for METART-WW02 screens, copper may not be the best option due to its softness and potential lack of rigidity in larger sizes. Brass, on the other hand, offers greater strength and rigidity, making it a viable option for those seeking a more opulent look.

►Frame and installation considerations

When it comes to privacy partition screens, the frame and installation method are as important as the infill material. The frame serves not only as a support for the infill material but also as an integral part of the overall aesthetic design. At METART, we specialize in stainless steel frames to provide a durable and stylish solution for our customers.

The finish of the frame is also an important consideration. We offer a variety of finishes, including brushed, brass plated, copper plated, aged brass plated, aged copper plated, aged bronze plated, PVD titanium plated, PVDF painted, and powder-coated, to match the design needs of the project. The finish not only affects the appearance but also plays a role in protecting the frame from corrosion and wear over time.

In addition to the frame, the installation method is another crucial factor to consider. There are several options available, such as suspended from the ceiling, mounted on the wall, or installed as a freestanding structure. The choice of installation method depends on various factors such as available space, design requirements, and budget.

Suspended installation is a great option for spaces with high ceilings, where the partition screen can be hung from the ceiling using cables or rods. Wall-mounted screens are ideal for spaces with limited floor space, and they can be fixed directly onto the wall or mounted onto frames that protrude from the wall. Freestanding screens are a versatile option that can be easily moved and repositioned, making them ideal for temporary applications or areas where privacy needs may change over time.

At METART, we work closely with our customers to determine the best frame and installation options for their specific project needs. Our goal is to provide high-quality and customized solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

►Think about lighting and ventilation.

Privacy screens can be used to block the view of a space, but it's important to consider the impact on lighting and ventilation. If the screen is too dense, it may block natural light and airflow, which can result in a stuffy and uncomfortable environment. To avoid this, consider using a wire mesh pattern with larger openings or incorporating small gaps between panels to allow for proper air circulation and light penetration. This will not only improve the functionality of the space but also create a more comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

►Ensure compliance with safety and building codes.

Depending on the location and application of the privacy partition screen, it may be subject to safety and building codes. It's important to consult with a qualified engineer or architect to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. This can include requirements for fire resistance, structural support, and accessibility. By following the necessary codes and standards, you can ensure the safety and durability of the privacy screen, as well as avoid potential legal issues down the line.

►Considerations for Measuring Space Size and Installing Privacy Partition Screens Without an Architect's Help

Measuring the space size is an important step if you plan to install a privacy partition screen without the help of an architect. You'll need to measure the height and width of the area where you want to install the screen, and also consider any obstacles such as electrical outlets or air vents that may affect the installation.

It's also important to consider the placement of the screen within the space. For example, if you want to use the screen to create a partition between two areas, you'll need to measure the distance between the two areas and ensure that the screen is tall enough to create a barrier.

Once you have accurate measurements, you can choose a privacy screen that fits within the dimensions of your space. Keep in mind that it's always a good idea to leave a little bit of extra space around the screen to allow for easy installation and any necessary adjustments.

►Using METART-WW02 architectural wire mesh pattern for wall cladding screen

The METART-WW02 metal mesh pattern is not only suitable for privacy partition screens but also for wall cladding screens. Due to its flat surface and smooth finish, it can create a visually appealing and modern look for interior and exterior walls.

Additionally, we can provide customized frames for wall cladding screens based on customers' drawings or designs. This ensures that the screens not only function well but also fit seamlessly into the overall design of the space.
